春先の森の様子

 4月3日、宮崎演習林の教員3人で森の様子を見に行ってきました。宮崎といえど、宮崎演習林は標高が1000m以上に位置する森が多く、針広混合林が広がっているのです。なので、4月と言えど、まだ森は静かなのですが、本格的な春にむけて準備まっただなかな様子でした。

アセビの花が満開です。
すごく小さい個体でも花をつけていました。
宮崎演習林ではシカが下層植生を食べてしまい、今残っているのはおもにアセビとシキミです。
アセビとシキミは葉に毒があるので、シカがあまり食べないみたいです。
アセビの森が広がっています。

竹林ワークショップ

2月末、竹林ワークショップを福岡演習林で行いました。

エクスカーション先の竹林（福岡演習林1林班）にて
